Aulnay-sous-Bois: a specialized service for at-risk teenagers.

In Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), child and adolescent psychiatry professionals have established a one-week hospitalization protocol in the pediatric ward to treat adolescents at risk of suicide, as well as a small-scale specialized inpatient unit—with six beds—to address other more serious crisis situations. This structure helps, among other things, to reduce group dynamics and violence without over-relying on medication. But above all, it prioritizes an individualized approach with each patient.
