Health Monitoring in the Hauts-de-France Region. Update as of November 4, 2022.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • Decline in regional epidemic activity confirmed by the decrease in virological indicators (TI, TP) estimated through antigen testing (TAG)

  • Decrease in the regional TP, which nevertheless remains at a high level (22.3%, -2.3 percentage points)

  • Decrease in healthcare utilization for suspected COVID-19 in outpatient settings and hospitals, against a backdrop of a sharp increase in acute respiratory infections of all etiologies (Sentinel Network)

  • Vaccination coverage among the most vulnerable (over 60 years old) (35.3%), eligible for the second booster, remains too low

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase for the 4th week: sharp and sustained increase at SOS Médecins and in the region’s emergency departments (levels higher than in all previous seasons, including 2018–2019)

  • Significant circulation of RSV among hospitalized patients (data from Amiens University Hospital not available)

Influenza

  • Non-epidemic phase but continued increase in emergency departments, stable activity at SOS Médecins

  • Doctors Activity still at a low level (data from Amiens University Hospital not available)

  • Increase in the incidence rate of influenza-like illnesses estimated by the Sentinelles network

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Low activity, decreasing in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins

*The suspension by some private clinical laboratories of the transmission of COVID-19 test results to the SI-DEP database as of 10/27/22 has disrupted the production of virological indicators by Santé publique France.
