Decentralized Prevention and Care Centers: An Approach for Remote Areas of French Guiana.

In French Guiana, the population and healthcare facilities—starting with hospitals—are concentrated along the coast. Inland, the population is scattered along the rivers, and villages are cut off from the coast due to a lack of transportation infrastructure. It is within this very specific context that a network of "Decentralized Prevention and Care Centers" (CDPS) has been established.
