Key Points

COVID-19

  • Incidence rates are down for the third consecutive week. This trend is observed across all age groups and all departments

  • Testing rates and positivity rates are down at the regional level compared to the previous week.

  • The proportion of screened tests with a profile consistent with the Omicron variant remains stable (99.4% in Week 6 vs. 98.8% in Week 5).

  • Decrease in SOS Médecins calls and emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19.

  • Slight decrease in new hospital admissions and critical care admissions, and stabilization of current hospitalizations.

  • Decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in ESMS.

Bronchiolitis

  • Week 06: First week outside the epidemic

  • Activity related to bronchiolitis was on the rise at SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments

Flu

  • Week 06: 18th week of surveillance

  • Activity related to flu-like syndromes was on the rise at SOS Médecins and stable in hospital emergency departments

Acute gastroenteritis

  • In Week 06, activity related to gastroenteritis was stable at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments
