Individual Surveillance

  • 159 biologically confirmed cases from March 5 to April 14, 2020

Community-based surveillance

  • SOS Médecins: 380 consultations for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 consultations in Week 15 (versus 515 in Week 14)

  • Sentinelles Network: 81 (tele)consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 15 (versus 132 in Week 14)

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 3 cases related to Covid-19 were reported as of April 15, 2020

Hospital surveillance

  • Emergency department visits (PZQ site): 147 visits for suspected COVID-19 out of 723 visits for all causes in Week 15 (20%) versus 173 out of 655 visits in Week 14 (26%)

  • Hospital laboratories: 6.1% of tests were positive in Week 15 (versus 23.4% in Week 14)

  • ICU/intensive care units: 47% of patients aged 65 and older, 69% of patients with at least one risk factor, and 6% of recorded deaths.
