Cases of tuberculosis reported in France in 2001.

In France, tuberculosis is a notifiable disease. This article presents the cases reported in 2001 in metropolitan France and the French overseas departments, with a comparison of incidence rates in 1993, 1997, and 2001. The data reported include: the distribution of cases by sex and age, the distribution by nationality and country of birth, residence in institutional settings, clinical forms, history of treated tuberculosis, and the mortality rate.
