Nationally and across regions, activity at SOS Médecins clinics has seen a moderate increase among adults under 75 (+15%, or 4,839 cases) and a more pronounced increase among adults over 75 (+46%, or 2,738 cases), while it remains stable or is declining among children. This increase is observed nationwide and more clearly in the Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast regions. The level of this activity is very close to that of 2012, but higher than that of 2011 for the same period.

Analysis of the most common conditions: Among children under 15 years of age, there has been a moderate increase in cases of acute lower respiratory tract infection, bronchiolitis, bronchitis, and isolated fever. Among adults, there has been a marked increase in cases of acute lower respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, influenza/influenza-like illness, gastroenteritis, sinusitis, and urinary tract infection.

Analysis by indicator and age group Among children under 2 years of age, the bronchiolitis indicator continues its upward trend (+15%, or +97 cases) and has reached a level significantly higher than that of the previous two years. Cases reported during the week are primarily concentrated in western, northern, and northeastern France. The gastroenteritis indicator continues to rise among adults under 75 years of age (+40%, or +982 cases) and those over 75 years of age (+163%, or +217 cases), but is beginning to decline among children, with a temporal trend and case numbers very similar to those of 2012. The increase in the number of cases is mainly concentrated in the western and northern regions of France. The indicator for influenza/influenza-like illness is beginning to rise, observed in all age groups except children aged 2 to 15 (+28%, or +353 cases across all ages), with case numbers higher than those in 2011 but lower than those in 2012. The indicators for bronchitis and pneumonia continue to rise across all age groups (+32%, or +1,140 cases for bronchitis; +58%, or +310 cases for pneumonia), and the current level is very close to the peak observed in 2012 during this time of year.The asthma indicator is rising among adults (+57%, or +199 cases) but remains stable among children. The increase is particularly pronounced in the Northeast, Central-East, and Southwest regions. The number of cases is slightly higher than those observed during the same period in 2012.
