Nationwide, SOS Médecins activity remained stable over the past week. The number of cases was slightly lower than in 2012. During this period, the most common conditions reported across all age groups were acute respiratory infections (+17%, +874 cases), including bronchitis (+13%, +375 cases), pneumonia (+16%, +73 cases), ENT conditions: nasopharyngitis (+10%, +575 cases), tonsillitis (+13%, +375 cases), and otitis (+14%, +495 cases), and gastroenteritis (+10%, +471 cases).

Analysis by indicator and age group for the past week

Among children under 2 years of age, bronchiolitis is on the rise (+19%, +105 cases). Activity related to this indicator is higher than in 2011 and 2012. Influenza is on the rise (+27%, +271 cases). This trend applies to all age groups under 75 years of age. Case numbers are lower than in 2012. The reported increase in the number of bronchitis cases mainly affects older age groups, starting at age 15 (+22%, +277 cases). The number of cases is comparable to that of 2012. The reported increase in the number of pneumonia cases affects only age groups under 75. The number of cases is comparable to that of 2012. All age groups are affected by the increase in acute respiratory infections. The number of cases is lower than in 2012.
