Key Points

  • In Week 30 (July 21–27, 2025), the number of emergency department visits was down compared to the previous week among children (-10%, or 2,101 fewer visits) and stable among adults. The number of hospitalizations following a visit remained stable for both children and adults.

  • Most non-specific and seasonal indicators are stable or decreasing compared to the previous week. However, there was an increase in visits:

    • for specific abdominal pain (+9%, or +58 visits) among children under 2 years of age,

    • for COVID-19 (+7%, or +20 visits) among those aged 15–74,

    • for chest pain (+7%, or +123 visits), and dyspnea, respiratory failure (+6%, or +99 visits) among those aged 75 and older.
