Key Points

  • Among children, the number of cases for most of the indicators tracked decreased in April 2025 compared to the previous month, in line with the spring break for the three school districts. The number of emergency room visits for suicidal acts or ideation was higher than the average of the previous three years, as were SOS Médecins calls for anxiety. The other indicators remained within the usual ranges observed during the same period.

  • Among adults, visits to emergency rooms and SOS Médecins calls in April were stable for most indicators. The number of visits remained higher than in previous years across all age groups for suicidal ideation and among 18- to 24-year-olds for suicide attempts, as well as SOS Médecins calls for anxiety or depressive states among 18- to 64-year-olds.
