Key Points

  • Among children, all mental health indicators were stable or declining, with the exception of emergency room visits for alcohol poisoning—linked to the Fête de la Musique on June 21—which rose sharply compared to May, exceeding the levels reached in the previous three years. The number of emergency room visits for suicidal ideation remained higher than in the previous three years, and visits for suicide attempts remained at the upper limit of the values typically observed during the same period.

  • Among adults, emergency room visits for alcohol intoxication increased among those aged 18–24, also linked to the Fête de la Musique. Seeking care for suicidal ideation, anxiety, and depressive states also increased, mainly among those aged 18–64, and exceeded the numbers observed in previous years.
