Special Education: The Challenges of Sex Education.

A study conducted in the Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne regions on sex education in Specialized General and Vocational Education Sections (SEGPA) highlights the challenges faced. While biological aspects are adequately addressed, the same cannot be said for psychological and relational issues. Teachers report having received little training and regret not collaborating sufficiently with school doctors and nurses. Among the main objectives are helping students build their skills rather than simply transferring knowledge, and focusing the curriculum on the individual and their development.
