Key Points

Influenza and Flu-Like Illnesses

  • End of the epidemic.

  • Declining activity in the community and in hospitals. The proportion of hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency department for flu-like symptoms is increasing, but the numbers remain low.

  • The 2024–2025 epidemic lasted 10 weeks, and the Corsica region remained in the post-epidemic phase for 3 weeks.

Bronchiolitis (under 2 years of age)

  • End of the epidemic.

  • Activity is decreasing in outpatient settings and tending to stabilize in hospitals with very low case numbers. The only two children seen in the emergency department with a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in S12 were hospitalized.

  • The 2024–2025 epidemic lasted 6 weeks, and the Corsica region remained in the post-epidemic phase for 4 weeks.

Covid-19

  • Very low activity, stable in the city and at the hospital.

Allergy and Pollen Risk

  • The projected health impact of pollen is high in Corsica, primarily due to Cupressaceae pollen (source: RNSA).
