Bronchiolitis
8th week of the epidemic. Epidemic peak reached in week 48.
Emergency departments - At the regional level, the number and proportion of visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age are declining (27.1% vs. 31.6% in week 48). The proportion of hospitalizations remains stable. These trends are observed in all departments except Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes (increase in visits and stabilization of hospitalizations) and Vaucluse (stability in visits and hospitalizations).
SOS Médecins - The number and proportion of consultations for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age are stable (12.3% in weeks 48 and 49). A decrease in these indicators is observed in the Alpes-Maritimes and Bouches-du-Rhône, and an increase in the Var.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
2nd week of the epidemic. Sharp increase in indicators.
Emergency departments - Emergency department activity related to influenza-like illnesses is rising sharply. More than half of emergency department visits involve children under 15 (57% of visits for influenza in Week 49).
SOS Médecins - The proportion of consultations for a diagnosis of influenza-like illness is rising sharply. A large proportion of consultations involve children under 15 (40% in week 49).
Sentinelles Network - The incidence rate for flu-like illness reported by the Sentinelles network in week 49, not yet finalized, is 390 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [281; 499]).
Acute gastroenteritis
Emergency departments: low activity.
