  • 5th epidemic week, regional trend declining.

  • Data from the National Reference Center for Respiratory Viruses – Week 14, April 5–11, 2021: Among the samples sent by the University Hospitals of Montpellier, Nîmes, and Toulouse and for which a virus was identified by the National Reference Center for Respiratory Viruses, RSV was detected in half of them. However, other viruses are also circulating, though to a lesser extent (in descending order of detection and excluding SARS-CoV-2): picornaviruses (27% of samples, mainly from the Toulouse University Hospital), metapneumoviruses (8%), seasonal coronaviruses (5%), adenoviruses and parainfluenza viruses (4% each), as well as bocaviruses (3%).
