Health Monitoring in the Occitanie Region. Update as of March 2, 2023.
Key Points
COVID-19
Oscour® Network: visits for suspected COVID-19 remained relatively stable compared to the previous week at a low level (63 emergency room visits, or 22 visits per 10,000 consultations).
SOS Médecins Network: procedures for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 remained stable compared to the previous week and at a low level (19 procedures, 49 procedures per 10,000 consultations).
Influenza
Following a second wave of the epidemic over the past month, indicators are declining in emergency medicine and among SOS Médecins associations, while they continue to rise in data from the Sentinelles network. The proportion of type B viruses is increasing further.
Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea
Activity is low in private practice (SOS Médecins) and moderate in hospital settings (Oscour® network).
Bronchiolitis
Preliminary assessment: The 2022–2023 epidemic was particularly long, with 14 epidemic weeks for the Occitanie region (compared to 8 weeks in pre-COVID-19 years) and a peak observed in week 48 of 2022. Occitanie is now in the green zone (epidemic over) given the low level of RSV circulation. Indicators related to bronchiolitis will no longer be presented in future Epidemiological Updates.
