COVID-19
In week 52 of 2022, the region’s four SOS Médecins associations (Nîmes, Montpellier, Perpignan, and Toulouse) recorded 60 cases of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 (or 168 cases per 10,000 consultations), a decrease compared to week 51.
At the regional level and across all age groups, the weekly numbers of new hospitalizations and new admissions to critical care units were decreasing in week 52-2022 compared to the previous week.
Virological indicators were significantly lower compared to the previous week: a positivity rate of 20.7% (-4 percentage points compared to week 51 of 2022), incidence rate of 245 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-52%), and testing rate of 1,186 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-42%).
Influenza

Indicators, while still at a high level, are stable or slightly declining, which could indicate a slowdown in viral circulation to be confirmed in the coming weeks following the year-end holidays.
Oscour® Network: Consultations for all age groups regarding a diagnosis of influenza/influenza-like illness were slightly lower compared to the previous week.
SOS Médecins: procedures for all ages for the diagnosis of influenza/influenza-like illness were down compared to the previous week.
Bronchiolitis

Oscour® Network: Consultations and hospitalizations for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were down compared to the previous week.
SOS Médecins: procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were up very slightly compared to the previous week.
Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea
Low activity in private practice (SOS Médecins) and moderate activity in hospital settings (Oscour® Network).
