COVID-19

• According to data available as of August 24, 2022, virological indicators continued to decline in week 33 of 2022: positivity rate of 23.1% (-1.3 percentage points compared to week 32), incidence rate of 255 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-7% compared to week 32), and testing rate of 1,104 per 100,000 inhabitants (-1.9% compared to week 32). This trend was observed among those under 45 years of age. In contrast, a very slight increase was observed among those over 65.

• The effective reproduction number (Rt) estimated from regional SI-DEP data through August 21, 2022, was 0.80 (0.79–0.82), up from the previous week (0.69).
