Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in Occitanie. Bulletin dated August 7, 2025.

  • In Occitanie, from May 1 to August 6, 2025, 73 imported cases of dengue, 90 imported cases of chikungunya, and 1 imported case of Zika were identified.

  • Eighteen locally transmitted cases of chikungunya were identified: 13 in Hérault (including 12 linked to exposure in the town of Castries) and 5 in Gard, with a new outbreak in Poulx. A locally transmitted case of dengue was recently identified in Lot.

  • To limit the risk of local transmission, 225 entomological surveys and 141 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of the cases.
