Acute Respiratory Infections and Gastroenteritis in Occitanie. Bulletin of February 20, 2025.

Key Points

Acute Respiratory Infections | Influenza and Flu-Like Illness

  • The Occitanie region was in week 07 of its 10th epidemic week. Indicators had been declining in both the community and hospitals since a peak in activity in week 04. However, indicator levels remained very high and comparable to those observed during the epidemic peaks of the two previous seasons.

  • The same trends were observed across all age groups, but levels were particularly high among children under 15 years of age.

Gastroenteritis and Acute Diarrhea

  • Activity related to gastroenteritis was generally stable: despite a slight increase at SOS Médecins over the past two weeks, no particular trend is observed in emergency department data, and a decrease in the incidence rate is reported by the Sentinelles network and IQVIA.
