Health Monitoring in Normandy. Update as of October 25, 2023.
Key points
Bronchiolitis
Normandy has entered an epidemic phase. The increase in emergency department activity continued, while activity at SOS Médecins remained stable. Their levels were lower than those of the previous season during the same period. The number of RSV cases isolated by virology laboratories was rising sharply. However, the circulation of rhinoviruses and enteroviruses remained very high.
COVID-19
All indicators of COVID-19 activity were declining across all age groups (stable for those over 65 in emergency departments), confirming the decline of the current epidemic wave in Normandy.
ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection)
Activity was stable at SOS Médecins and in emergency departments, though with disparities by age. This trend reflects the increase in bronchiolitis among children and the decline in COVID-19 across all age groups.
