Health Monitoring in Normandy. Update as of March 13, 2024.

Key Points

Flu

  • Normandy has entered the post-epidemic phase, with cases of flu-like illness continuing to decline (emergency departments, hospitalizations following visits, and SOS Médecins calls). Regarding virology, type A viruses, particularly the H1N1 subtype, remain the predominant type among positive test results in hospitals.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity levels for acute gastroenteritis (AGE) remain moderate and stable in emergency departments and SOS Médecins clinics.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia

  • The various activity indicators for pneumonia are stable, whether in community settings (SOS Médecins) or in hospitals (emergency departments), and remain at moderate levels. The positivity rate for Mycoplasma pneumoniae in hospital specimens has increased slightly in week 10.
