Health Monitoring in the Normandy Region. Update as of October 23, 2020.

Key Points

The epidemiological situation continues to deteriorate, with a marked increase in the incidence of COVID-19 cases in Normandy, evident across all five departments in the region. The rise in healthcare utilization indicators is slower, however; the volume of cases reported in the medical-social sector and hospitalizations is close to that observed last March. The highest level of vigilance must therefore be maintained for at-risk individuals, particularly the elderly, given the vulnerability of this population, which accounts for the highest number of deaths due to SARS-CoV-2.
