Key Points

Influenza and Flu-Like Illness

  • Normandy has been in the post-epidemic phase for two weeks. The Oscour® and SOS Médecins activity indicators continue to decline and are approaching pre-epidemic baseline levels across all age groups.

  • Strains A (H1N1), A (H3N2), and B/Victoria are still circulating simultaneously. Their detection rates are declining in community laboratories and hospitals.

  • The proportion of deaths with a mention of influenza among electronically certified deaths is also decreasing significantly.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • Across all age groups, community activity indicators for acute gastroenteritis (AG) have stabilized at a high level this week. For those aged 65 and older, these indicators are rising sharply.

  • Hospital activity for acute gastroenteritis is increasing among those under 15 and among people aged 65 and older.
