Key Points

COVID-19

  • Epidemic activity continues to rise regionally and across all five departments.

  • Increased viral circulation in the middle age groups (15–44 years and 45–64 years) and stabilization among those under 15 years of age. High activity among the most vulnerable (>65 years) with a more pronounced increase in the incidence rate in the North (+64%).

  • Continued increase in consultations for suspected COVID-19 (SOS Médecins and SAU) and acute respiratory infections (Sentinel Network) in week 38.

  • In hospitals, a slight increase in new admissions to critical care.

  • Slight increase in vaccination coverage among the most vulnerable (over 60 years old) eligible for the second booster.

Monkeypox

  • 194 confirmed cases recorded in Hauts-de-France, representing 5% of cases residing in France. The number of new confirmed cases has continued to decline in recent weeks.

  • 2.1% of cases were hospitalized following infection with the Monkeypox virus, and no deaths have been reported in the region.

Bronchiolitis

  • Non-epidemic phase, but activity is increasing at SOS Médecins and in the region’s emergency departments.

Asthma

  • Stabilization in the use of asthma care in community settings and hospitals (emergency departments and hospitalizations).
