Key Points

COVID-19

  • Very intense and rising regional epidemic activity in week 52

  • Increase in COVID-19-related visits and share of activity in primary care and emergency departments

  • Very strong and steady epidemic growth among young adults aged 20–29 (incidence rate > 2,200 cases/100,000 population) and among people over 65 (incidence rate > 500 cases/100,000)

  • Increase in the proportion of A0C0 screening tests (suggestive of Omicron), now the majority in the region

  • Increase in the number of cases currently being treated for COVID-19 in general hospital and critical care units in the region

  • More than 50% of the eligible population in the region has received their booster dose

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic activity is declining but remains at a high level

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Pre-epidemic phase

  • Seekings of care for influenza-like illnesses remain stable in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins

  • Number of influenza viruses isolated from hospitalized patients remains stable

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Increase in outpatient visits for acute gastroenteritis
