Key Points

Acute respiratory infections

  • Activity is on the rise, at a level consistent with previous seasons at SOS Médecin and in private practice (Sentinelles-IQVIA network) and lower than in previous years in emergency departments.

  • The number of viruses causing influenza is increasing this week. The circulation of RSV continues to rise, while that of SARS-CoV-2 remains low.

Bronchiolitis

  • 2nd week of the epidemic

  • Cases and activity for bronchiolitis are on the rise in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins.

  • The number of isolated RSV cases has risen slightly this week. There has also been an increase in the number of enteroviruses and rhinoviruses.

Flu and flu-like illnesses

  • Transition to the pre-epidemic phase

  • Activity related to influenza and influenza-like illnesses is increasing in emergency departments, at SOS Médecins, and in private practice.

  • The detection rate of the influenza virus is rising sharply, primarily for influenza A.

COVID-19

  • Activity is low and stable in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins. There has been a slight increase in the number of hospitalizations.
