Epidemiological Situation

From the beginning of the year through the end of June (S2018-01 to 26), malaria activity in the territory was low to moderate.The suspected sites of infection identified in French Guiana were located outside the town centers of the affected municipalities, with the exception of St. Georges. An active transmission cluster remains in the municipality of Saül, affecting the area including the sites of Sophie, Repentir, and Dagobert.
