Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Malaria activity was low from mid-July to early October 2016. During this period, in French Guiana, malaria transmission was limited to the municipalities of Roura, Maripa-Soula, and St. Georges. It should be noted that the seasonal resurgence usually observed in September–October in St. Georges has not yet begun.The malaria risk map has not yet been validated by the Expert Committee; it will therefore be released at a later date.
