Epidemiological Situation of Dengue in French Guiana. Update as of September 14, 2023.

Key Points

In weeks 35 and 36, 172 confirmed cases of dengue were identified across several municipalities, compared to 184 during the previous two weeks. The trend in indicators over the past two weeks confirms the ongoing dengue epidemic in the Savanes sector, with 50% of cases residing in this sector, primarily in Kourou. Over the past two weeks, emergency room visits for dengue-like symptoms have continued to account for nearly 12% of activity at CHK.

The situation is stable in the other sectors. Four active outbreaks have been identified in Saint Laurent du Maroni, three in Rémire-Montjoly, two in Cayenne, and one in Matoury.
