Epidemiological Situation of Dengue in French Guiana. Update as of October 1, 2012

After a slight decline in early September, the number of clinically suspected dengue cases rose during the second week of the month, reaching levels near the expected maximum (S20012-37) (Figure 1). This increase is linked to the specific situation in the city of Kourou.During the third week of September (S2012-38), 144 cases were estimated (incomplete data from the sentinel physician network).
