Dengue activity was relatively low during the months of March through May.During this period, the number of clinically suspected dengue cases and the number of laboratory-confirmed cases remained below expected peak levels each week. Dengue outbreaks were reported in the municipalities of Cayenne, Kourou, St. Laurent, Maripasoula, Rémire, and Matory. During the last week of May, outbreaks were still active in Cayenne and Kourou. The DENV-2, DENV-4, and DENV-1 serotypes are currently co-circulating in French Guiana. The epidemiological situation of dengue in French Guiana remains at Phase 2 of the Psage: "Epidemic Outbreaks."
