The testing rate increased by 31% in Week 17, reflecting laboratory activity in Week 17 compared to Week 16 (a holiday on Monday, April 18). The effective R was 1.01, which is not significant and has remained stable since Week 16 (0.90).

  • Regarding hospital activity, the number of new hospitalizations across all departments was down compared to Week 16. There were no new admissions to the ICU, and 1 death was reported in Week 17.

  • Vaccination coverage remains stable across the region.
