Key Findings

  • Following an increase in the number of diagnoses of dehydration, hyponatremia, hyperthermia, and heatstroke observed in emergency departments during weeks 33 and 34, a marked decrease in these diagnoses was noted during weeks 35 and 36.

  • The increase in the number of allergy diagnoses recorded in Lorraine’s emergency departments during week 34 was not confirmed in the following weeks.

  • According to data from the national aerobiological monitoring network, there is currently little risk of pollen allergies in the region. At this time of year, ragweed pollen is the primary cause of allergies, yet this plant is not widely present in the region.
