Highlights
Due to the current cold snap in France, the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle, Meuse, and Vosges are under an orange alert for extreme cold.
Flu activity is gradually increasing nationwide, and the start of the epidemic is approaching. The viruses detected are mainly type A (H3N2) viruses. There is currently no flu epidemic in the Lorraine region.
According to data from the Sentinelles France network, the epidemic threshold for gastroenteritis has now been exceeded for three weeks at the national level, with the epidemic beginning on January 2, 2012.
The peak of the bronchiolitis epidemic appears to have passed in Lorraine during week 51, based on activity data from the SOS Médecin association in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
