Health Surveillance in the Alsace Region. Epidemiological Update as of June 6, 2012.

Key Findings

  • A slight increase in the number of asthma diagnoses was observed in weeks 21 and 22 for both SOS Médecins associations in the region.

  • The number of allergy diagnoses made by Alsatian associations has risen sharply over the past two weeks.

  • The National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA) has observed a sharp increase in the presence of grass pollen in Strasbourg over the past two weeks.

  • Activity related to gastroenteritis has returned to baseline levels. The period of high activity associated with this condition is coming to an end, and this bulletin concludes the surveillance.
