Key Events

  • On August 19 (week 33), 20, and 21 (week 34), the Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin departments were placed at the "Warning and Action" (MIGA) level of the National Heat Wave Plan due to extreme heat.

  • During the MIGA period, no health impacts were detected based on the health indicators available and monitored as part of the Heat Wave and Health Alert System.

  • According to data from the national aerobiological monitoring network, there is little risk of pollen allergies in the region. At this time of year, ragweed is the primary cause of respiratory allergies, yet this plant is not widely present in the region.
