Summary

In week 08, the number of emergency department visits by people aged 75 and older for influenza, pneumonia, dyspnea/respiratory failure, cardiac decompensation, acute bronchitis, and chronic bronchitis decreased but remained high.The number of deaths from all causes observed in the region since the beginning of the year is higher than that recorded in previous years during the same period. Week 07 recorded the highest number of deaths in 7 weeks among people aged 85 and older.
