Summary

Week 07: - Flu-related visits remain high and exceed those recorded during the peak of the epidemic in the previous three seasons; - The number of emergency department visits by people aged 75 and older for flu, chronic bronchitis, acute bronchitis, and dyspnea/respiratory failure are rising; visits for pneumonia and heart failure are not increasing but remain high.

Furthermore, excess mortality from all causes has been observed in the region since the beginning of the year: following a slight decline in weeks 03 and 04, the number of deaths rose again in weeks 05 and 06. Excess deaths have also been observed at the national and European levels.
