Epidemiological Surveillance in the Lorraine Region. Update as of November 13, 2014.

Key Findings

  • For both data sources, influenza activity remains low. Currently, diagnoses of influenza and influenza-like illness account for less than 0.5% of activity.

  • Bronchiolitis activity is low and similar to that observed during the same period in the 2013–2014 season. It accounts for less than 5% of activity in each data source.

  • Since Week 39, the number of cases of gastroenteritis and diarrhea has been in line with expected values outside of the epidemic season. Over the past three weeks, noroviruses have been isolated from stool samples.
