Epidemiological surveillance in the Lorraine region. Update as of July 17, 2014.

Highlights

  • Emergency services in Lorraine and the SOS Médecins Meurthe-et-Moselle association are operating at relatively stable levels.

  • Over the past two weeks, allergy-related activity has been stable and low according to both regional data sources.

  • According to data from the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), the allergy risk due to grass pollen is moderate in three of the four departments of Lorraine (Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle).

  • Over the past two weeks, asthma-related activity has been stable and low according to both regional data sources.

  • In Lorraine’s emergency departments, diagnoses of heat-related conditions (hyperthermia, hyponatremia, heatstroke, and dehydration) have remained stable over the past two weeks. Compared to 2013, the proportion is similar to that observed during the same period. In week 28, the proportion of activity related to these conditions remains below 0.5% for both regional data sources.
