Epidemiological surveillance in the Alsace region. Update as of July 17, 2014.

Highlights

  • Over the past two weeks (weeks 27 and 28), activity at SOS Médecins clinics in the region has remained generally stable.

  • During this period, the number of asthma diagnoses was low.

  • Similarly, the proportion of activity due to heat-related conditions was low, likely due to the drop in temperatures observed during the same period.

  • Activity related to allergy diagnoses fluctuates within the expected seasonal range.

  • The national aerobiological monitoring network indicates in its alert map for July 11–18 that the allergy risk associated with grasses is low for the Haut-Rhin department and moderate for the Bas-Rhin department.
