Key Points

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: Moderate activity, stable compared to week 44.

  • Hospital emergency departments (Oscour®): Moderate activity, stable compared to week 44.

  • Laboratory Data (SIDEP®): Number of tests performed down, positivity rate stable (16.9%).

  • COVID outbreaks in long-term care facilities: 44 outbreaks reported in 47 nursing homes.

As of November 11, 2020,

  • Hospital data: 971 hospitalizations, an increase compared to previous weeks. (553 new hospitalizations in Week 45)

  • Clusters - Cluster alert reports: Since May 11, 465 clusters (excluding small family settings) have been recorded in the region (including 123 in nursing homes). 175 clusters are currently under investigation. Among them, 83 clusters are in nursing homes.

  • Due to increased viral circulation throughout the region, the number of identified clusters is likely underestimated.

  • Since November 3, all departments in the Centre-Val de Loire region have been classified as “high” vulnerability.

Bronchiolitis

  • In week 45, bronchiolitis-related activity was stable in hospital emergency departments and declining at SOS Médecins.

Gastroenteritis

  • In week 10, activity related to gastroenteritis was stable at SOS Médecins and declining in hospital emergency departments.
