COVID-19

  • In Week 52, there was a sharp increase in the incidence rate, positivity rate, and testing rate at the regional level compared to the previous week

  • Significant increase in the proportion of screened tests with a profile consistent with the Omicron variant (76.9% in W52 vs. 39.0% in W51). As of 4:00 PM on January 6, 245 cases confirmed by sequencing had been reported in the Centre-Val de Loire region

  • Increase in emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 and SOS Médecins calls for suspected COVID-19

  • Stabilization of critical care admissions and an increase in new hospitalizations

  • Sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in ESMS

12th week of the epidemic phase. In week 52, the bronchiolitis epidemic continues at a high level.

Influenza

3rd week in the pre-epidemic phase. In week 52, activity related to flu-like syndromes was on the rise in hospital emergency departments and at SOS Médecins.

Acute gastroenteritis

In week 52, activity related to gastroenteritis was high and stable in hospital emergency departments and on the rise at SOS Médecins.
