Epidemiological Surveillance

  • In 2023–2024, 283 cases of arbovirus diseases were reported in the region

    • 86 cases were reported in 2023 and 197 in 2024

    • All were cases of dengue, the majority of which were imported from the French West Indies and French Guiana (85%)

    • 150 cases were reported during the enhanced surveillance period (May 1 to November 30)

Entomological surveillance

  • By the end of 2024, 87 municipalities in 5 departments of the region (all outside Eure-et-Loir) were identified as colonized by Aedes albopictus

    • 35 municipalities were identified as colonized in 2023 and 22 in 2024

    • 37% of the region’s population resides in a colonized municipality (+14% over 2 years)

    • 11 vector control treatments were carried out: 6 in 2023 and 5 in 2024
