Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • No epidemic activity.

  • Decrease in RSV detection according to the virology laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and the virology laboratories at Brest University Hospital.

  • Other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are circulating, notably rhinoviruses.

  • Maternal vaccination and infant immunization with monoclonal antibodies are two alternative strategies for preventing RSV bronchiolitis.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Decline in epidemic indicators. Detection of influenza A and influenza B viruses by the virology laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and Brest University Hospital.

  • High activity, greater than what was observed in previous seasons.

  • The fall vaccination campaign against influenza and COVID-19 began on October 15.

Gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity.

  • Indicators are consistent with what was observed in previous years.
