Key Points

COVID-19

  • Slight increase in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR). The regional (unadjusted) IR rose from 230 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 45 to 268 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 46. The IR is rising in 3 departments; it remains stable in the Côtes d’Armor.

  • Increase in calls to SOS Médecins, stabilization in visits to hospital emergency departments, decrease in the prevalence of general care hospitalizations and the prevalence of critical care hospitalizations.

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic activity. Another increase in emergency room visits following the decline observed in Week 45 (likely linked to school holidays). Slight decrease in RSV detection according to the Virology Laboratory at Brest University Hospital.

Influenza

  • Pre-epidemic activity.

  • Continued increase in SOS Médecins consultations. Slight decrease in the detection of influenza A viruses by the Virology Laboratory at Brest University Hospital.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Low activity.

  • Stabilization of monitored SOS Médecins indicators and a slight increase in the number of emergency room visits compared to the previous week.
