COVID-19

• Low activity, despite an increase in routine hospitalizations.

• Oscour®: slight decrease in the number of emergency department visits in Q17 (67 visits compared to 87 in Q16); 57% of these visits resulted in hospitalization (compared to 58% in Q16). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.4% of emergency department activity across all age groups (compared to 0.6% in W16).

• SOS Médecins: The number of SOS Médecins consultations remained stable (53 consultations in S17 compared to 51 in S16). Across all age groups, suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 1.4% of SOS Médecins activity in S17 (compared to 1.4% in S16).

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

• Non-epidemic activity. Continued decline in all monitored indicators. Low detection of influenza B virus according to data from the Virology Laboratory at Rennes University Hospital and Brest University Hospital.

• Oscour®: slight decrease in emergency department visits with 16 visits in S17 (compared to 22 visits in S16, a decrease of 27%). Diagnoses of influenza and influenza-like illnesses account for 0.1% of total activity in hospital emergency departments (stable compared to Week 16); 6% of visits resulted in hospitalization (compared to 23% in Week 16).

• SOS Médecins: slight decrease in the number of consultations for influenza and influenza-like illnesses, with 122 consultations in S17 (16 fewer consultations compared to S16, a 12% decrease), representing 3.3% of total activity.

Acute gastroenteritis

• Moderate activity. Stabilization of emergency department visits and SOS Médecins consultations across all age groups.

• Oscour®: stabilization of emergency room visits across all age groups in Week 17, with 145 visits. Children under 5 accounted for 51% of cases (stable compared to S16), and gastroenteritis accounted for 6.3% of visits in this age group (compared to 5.3% in S16) and 1.0% across all ages.

• SOS Médecins: stabilization in the number of SOS Médecins consultations for gastroenteritis, with 206 consultations. Children under 5 accounted for 20% of consultations. Across all age groups, gastroenteritis accounted for 5.5% of total SOS Médecins activity and 8.9% among children under 5 (stabilization compared to S16).
