Key Points

COVID-19

  • Low activity.

  • In week 25, the incidence rate (IR) and positivity rate (PR) are at low levels, against a backdrop of a very low testing rate (TR).

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Low activity. Emergency room visits have stabilized across all age groups, while SOS Médecins consultations have increased, primarily among those aged 15–74.

Asthma

  • Decrease in emergency room visits, primarily among those under 15, and stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations in week 25.

ENT conditions

  • Decrease in ENT conditions in hospital emergency departments and stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations. Decrease in the detection of rhinoviruses/enteroviruses by the Virology Laboratory at Brest University Hospital (9/42, positivity rate of 21%). Data for the Virology Laboratory at Rennes University Hospital are not available for week 25.

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • The seasonal surveillance system is active from June 1 through September 15. Brittany has been under a green heat wave alert since the start of surveillance.
