COVID-19
The epidemic situation continues to worsen. There has been a slight increase in the incidence rate (IR), the testing rate (TR), and the positivity rate (PR).
The regional (unadjusted) IR rose from 556 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 49 to 579 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 50. The IR is rising in 3 departments (decreasing in Côtes d’Armor).
A sharp increase in the prevalence of general care hospitalizations, an increase in the prevalence of critical care hospitalizations and use of hospital emergency departments, and stabilization in the use of SOS Médecins.
Bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age
Epidemic activity, declining phase.
Decrease in emergency room visits for the third consecutive week (peak in week 48).
Decrease in RSV viral circulation according to the virology laboratories at the Brest University Hospital and the Rennes University Hospital.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
Epidemic activity, declining phase.
Significant decreases in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations.
Decrease in influenza A virus circulation according to the virology laboratories at the Brest and Rennes University Hospitals; sporadic but persistent detection of influenza B virus.
Acute gastroenteritis
Moderate activity. Upward trend in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations for gastroenteritis.
